Motorists should also take precautions this bank holiday and make sure they have comprehensive car breakdown cover for any road trips they may make. In fact, cover can start from as little as £31 a year. Richard added: “Bank holidays are always a busy time on Britain's roads resulting in an increase in car breakdowns, but motorists can avoid wasting precious holiday time on the hard shoulder by ensuring they have adequate breakdown insurance. It is important to choose not only the most competitive policy, but one which is comprehensive enough for your needs. “UK breakdown policies do not automatically provide cover for driving abroad so those planning to cross the channel or venture further afield should check they have the appropriate cover. After all, the last thing you want is to stump up an exorbitant call-out fee or organise your own recovery service while stranded abroad." Car tourists advised to get cover
Tourists looking to take their vehicle abroad this bank holiday weekend are being advised to ensure they have adequate motor cover in addition to travel insurance.According to Saga, some 3.1 million Britons head across the Channel in their cars every year and as a result may be advised to get breakdown cover should they suffer an accident while on foreign roads.Motorists are particularly recommended to keep their driving licence and insurance documents with them at all times as it is "compulsory for driving abroad".Meanwhile, holidaymakers are also recommended to pack a first-aid kit in the event of a medical emergency. By taking a car for a pre-trip service, Saga reported tourists can "minimise the risk of breaking down while abroad".Research conducted by American Express last month warned car tourists to take out sufficient motor cover, as well as travel insurance, as some ten per cent will suffer a breakdown while abroad.

There are ways to price a home for quick sale
Q: I will be accepting a new job in another state and will need to relocate. I will need to sell my home quickly, however, the real estate market is slow where I currently live. Are the companies that offer cash for homes - "We Buy Houses" - legitimate? I see advertisements on television and on the Internet, but cannot find more information. I assume they offer less than market value, but considering you do not pay commissions or closing costs, not to mention continued mortgage payments and utilities, would this be a good move? I have no family where I am currently living and think it would be difficult to try to sell my home from another state once I move. A: It's not particularly difficult to sell your home after you've left town. A good real estate agent would take care of things for you.
